MayDay Passport — We're here to help

Frequently Asked Questions

Does MayDay Passport replace emergency services?

No. MayDay Passport is a reference tool that provides emergency numbers and safety information. In a life-threatening emergency, always call local emergency services first.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name at the top, then tap Subscriptions. Find MayDay Passport and tap it to manage or cancel. You can also access this from the App Store.

How do I restore a previous purchase?

Open MayDay Passport, go to the Profile tab, tap Upgrade, then tap "Restore Purchases" at the bottom of the screen. Your subscription will be restored if it is active on your Apple ID.

Are the emergency numbers accurate?

We maintain emergency numbers for 124+ countries and update them regularly. However, we recommend verifying numbers for your destination before traveling, as local services may change.

How does the SOS feature work?

The SOS feature sends an alert with your location to your designated emergency contacts. It does not contact local emergency services (police, fire, ambulance) directly. You must add emergency contacts in the app before using SOS. Alerts are sent from your device, so they require you to complete the send and may not deliver if you are offline. Always call local emergency services in a life-threatening situation.

How do I delete my account and data?

Go to the Profile tab, scroll down to the Legal section, and tap "Delete My Account." You will be asked to type DELETE to confirm. This permanently removes all your data from both the device and our servers. Note: this does not cancel an active subscription — you must cancel through the App Store separately.

Is my data secure?

Most of your data is stored locally on your device. Safety Vault documents are protected by a PIN you create. Screenshot protection is enabled on premium content screens. We do not sell or share your personal information.

What is a Safety Circle?

Safety Circles let you connect with fellow travelers or family members. Members can send "I'm OK" check-ins and group SOS alerts. Create or join a circle using a 6-character code.
